Anonymous: First off, your work is just exquisite. i see a vein of similarity between the work you do and the sketches and incomplete work i do (female figures and specifically the positions/activities of their bodies and the use of negative space). does depression factor into the content of your work? I know it does for me. i think depression is a big factor in me not completing anything, floundering.
Thank you. I really don’t know if depression is the key with me. It gets scary sometimes because when I look back at some of the pieces I made…to be honest I didn’t have a clue why I made them at the time. It just sort of came out and in my mind it felt like I was only toying with some ideas and notions. However, after awhile, the things I thought I was toying with in my work became major issues for me in the future. So, honest, when it comes to my work, for the most part I have no clue what’s going on. You just let it flow.
